New strategy sets out inclusivity and diversity commitments

June 26, 2023

Pertemps has launched a new diversity, equality and inclusion (DE&I) commitments document.

Carmen Watson, Chair of Pertemps Network Group

It has been put together by the organisation’s Employee Resource Group (ERG), set-up to ensure all voices are heard and so the business has a clear forum for communication and to help drive it forward as a great place to work.

Carmen Watson, Chair of Pertemps Network Group and of the ERG forum, said: “This document is a crystallisation of many different pockets of work and activity that have been going on at Pertemps for years.

“This remains a family business. We have always put community at the heart of what we do, tried to create an inclusive and safe environment for all and know we are better for having a diverse and inclusive workforce.

“This document brings all that together into one place for the first time so we can truly see where we are, plan where we are going and evaluate how we are doing.

“We want our people at PNG, irrespective of background, identity or personal circumstances, to have a really great experience and a long and fruitful career with us. We want everyone to be their authentic self.

“We will ensure that today’s world is represented and reflecting in our business in a fair and equitable way.”

The commitments document, launched during Pride month, will be reviewed each year and updated accordingly.

Pertemps, based in Meriden in the West Midlands, has featured in the Best Companies to Work for Top 100 list for the last 16 years.
